The Global Influence:

China

China had more people than any other country (until 2023) and has massive influence on world economics and politics. China invests billions of dollars in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to develop trade, but also to gain influence.

History:

China’s historical civilization dates from at least 1200 B.C.; from the 3rd century B.C. and for the next two millennia, China alternated between periods of unity and disunity under a succession of imperial dynasties. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the country was beset by civil unrest, major famines, military defeats, and foreign occupation.
After World War II, the Chinese Communist Party under MAO Zedong established an autocratic socialist system that, while ensuring China’s sovereignty, imposed strict controls over everyday life and cost the lives of tens of millions of people.
1 October 1949 (People’s Republic of China established).

India

India is the world’s largest democracy. Political, economic, and social challenges all place a heavy burden on the government. It has chosen to build on the economic progress in recent decades being open to other nations and partnerships.

History:

India’s Indus Valley civilization, one of the world’s oldest, flourished during the 3rd and 2nd millennia B.C. and extended into north-western India.
Aryan tribes from the northwest infiltrated the Indian subcontinent about 1500 B.C. The Maurya Empire of the 4th and 3rd centuries and the Golden Age ushered in by the Gupta dynasty (4th to 6th centuries A.D.) saw a flowering of Indian science, art, and culture. Islam spread across the subcontinent over a period of 700 years with Turks and Afghans invading India. By 19th century, the British Empire saw India as the “Jewel in the Crown” and after years of nonviolent resistance to British rule by Gandhi eventually India gained independence on 15 August 1947.

The Mission of God in China and India:

In accomplishing the Great Commission, these 2 Giants represents the largest remaining task in Missions. In terms of of Preaching the Gospel to every person (Mark 16) and Discipling the Nations (People Groups) in Matthew 28:19, India and China has the largest number of lost souls and People Groups.
Yet, God had used simple pioneers like Francis Xavier and others who followed, like William Carey (India) and Hudson Taylor (China) and thousands of other missionaries who labored in these nations to sow the seed of the Gospel in these nations.

Prayer:

  • Lord we Pray for your favor on these 2 nations of China & India.
  • We pray for the church in each Nation that you will strengthen them to reach the lost people.
  • We pray Psalm 85 as our prayer for these 2 Nations:

“LORD , thou hast been favourable unto thy land:
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people,
Thou hast covered all their sin.
Thou hast taken away all thy wrath:
Turn us, O God of our salvation,
And cause thine anger toward us to cease.
Wilt thou not revive us again:
That thy people may rejoice in thee?
Shew us thy mercy, O , And grant us thy salvation.
Yea, the shall give that which is good;
And our land shall yield her increase.’
