In 2026, you can become a Global Intercessor!
Never in the History of the Church has there been a greater opportunity for this than now!
While other global issues capture the world’s attention, God has a Global revival in mind.
God gave Moses the Intercessor this great promise:
“But truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.” (Numbers 14:21)
This was given even at a dark time of Israel when they rebelled against God at Kadesh Barnea through unbelief.
God also surprised Habakkuk with the same promise when he complained to God about the condition of his nation:
‘For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.‘ (Habakkuk 2:14)
Almost 71% of the Earth’s surface is covered with water! His glory will cover the whole Earth!
But God is looking for Intercessors who can participate in His global mission.
A Model Intercessor.
One of the great New Testament intercessors, highly esteemed by the Apostle Paul, was Epaphras! (We write these posts under his name)
He worked with Paul in Ephesus, who sent him to his hometown of Colossae, about 100 miles to the east, to plant a church there. He planted 3 churches in the cities of Colossae, Laodicea, and Hierapolis. Later, he was arrested and taken to Rome, and was a fellow prisoner with Paul. Although not been to Colossae, Paul wrote to them commending Epaphras as an Intercessor.

‘Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings.
He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.
I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis. ‘ (Colossians 4:12-13)
Epaphras was “working hard” in intercession; yet it was limited to a region in Asia. However, Intercessors today have a significant global influence due to worldwide connectivity. Imagine if Epaphras had had the same tools we have today!
The Global Intercessor.

Intercession helps to unite the ‘Universal Body’ of Christ to pray as a ‘Global Family’ in a Global Village. Yet, millions of intercessors are focused primarily on the ‘local church’ vision instead of speeding the completion of the Global Great Commission.
‘For the Lord will carry out his sentence on earth with speed and finality.” ‘ Romans 9:2
The Global Mission.
Your Intercession not only ascends to the highest throne in heaven, but it also has the widest global impact, reaching people, tribes, nations, and regions worldwide.
The culmination of all intercession is the global assembly of “persons from every tribe and language and people and nation” (Revelation 5:9) redeemed by the Lamb of God, worshipping before the Throne.
Therefore, our Prayer Network seeks to mobilize ‘Global Intercession for God’s mission on earth.
Occasion or Vocation?
Understanding the difference between Prayer and Intercession.
While many rise for prayer on various occasions, Intercession is considered a ‘vocation’ committed to a partnership with God, as illustrated in the Old Testament as ‘Watchmen’:
“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.’
(Isaiah 62:6-7)
The same is affirmed in the New Testament by scriptures such as: “…devote yourself to prayer,” “in everything in prayer,” and “pray without ceasing…” etc.
This is a partnership with the Throne of God, not with a church or an organization.
Intercessors can also be trained for this vocation, because God is looking for an ‘Intercessor!’ – not just intercession.
Two Important Tools for Global Intercession:

1. Intercessor Training.
Since Intercession is Missional and Global, this Prayer Network has developed a course to train Intercessors. This year, we give intercessors the opportunity to enroll in an 8-Lesson Intercession Course. More details will follow in the February circular.
2. Global Intercession Resources.
We praise God for many organizations that provide a wealth of information for Global Intercession. Two of the great resources are Operation World and the Joshua Project – both highlighting Nations and ‘People Groups’ within each Nation for effective intercession.
This collaborative prayer for Discipling Nations will contribute to the Finishing of the Great Commission in every Nation!
We encourage you to use this ‘Year of Opportunity’ to become a Global Intercessor!
