The Power of the Blood of the Lamb.
The story of God’s Mission begins with the Lamb, “Slain before the foundation of the World,” (Revelation 13:8) and continues throughout human history from Creation to Revelation.
The Blood of the Lamb is highlighted continuously through the Old Testament sacrifices and is fulfilled with the coming of Christ as the “Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! ” (John 1:29)
At Easter, we celebrate the culmination of the Lamb’s sacrifice, “of Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood.”(Rev. 1:5)
However, the greatest fulfilment of the Lamb’s sacrifice is only celebrated at the end of the age, when nations will celebrate and sing a new song, saying: “For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God;”’ (Revelation 5:9-10)
The Tribes, Tongues, People, and Nations!
Easter must be celebrated with the determination and passion to take the Gospel to every ‘Tribe, Language, People and Nations,‘ who are included in what we call the “Unreached People Groups.’
It is estimated that of the 8.08 billion people alive in the world today, 3.42 billion of them live in unreached people groups with little or no access to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
According to Joshua Project, there are approximately 17,269 unique people groups in the world with 7,188 of them considered unreached (over 42% of the world’s population)!
The vast majority (85%) of these least-reached groups exist in the 10/40 window and less than 3% of missionary work is done among these people.
Let us pray that the Blood of the Lamb will be celebrated by ALL these tribes and People groups in ‘all the Languages’ of the world. Let us especially pray for the Bible Translation work by all different agencies in the world!
