“See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.” (Revelation 3:8)
As we enter 2026, God has promised great opportunities for you as an intercessor in many different ways!
1. Opportunity through Open Doors.
God has promised: “See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.” (Revelation 3:8)
Open doors signal access to things that were previously not possible.
Last year’s disappointments or unmet expectations can be overcome this year by maintaining faith and anticipation of open doors. Remember, the One who promised this is the One “who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut…” (Revelation 3:7)
You can expect great opportunities because Jesus promised prayer as a key to open doors:
“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Luke 11:10)
2. Opportunity through New Things.
God’s opportunities for you in the new year are wrapped in the ‘new things’ He has prepared for you.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? (Isaiah 43:18)
Our God is not conditioned to the past. He can create new solutions even under the most extreme conditions. His promise is:
“I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Vs. 19.
You can dream big and believe in great surprises from God in 2026 through intercession.
3. Opportunity through Intercession.

God always has an open door in Heaven for Intercessors!
“There before me was a door standing open in heaven!” (Revelation 4:1)
Apostle John was invited to walk through this door and see how your Intercession occupies a very important place in Heaven as they are collected in Golden Bowls and valued by God!
“Each one (24 Elders) had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. ” (Revelation 5:8)
Do you know that your intercession is never wasted? To store something in a golden bowl, they are important to God, and are used for changing the course of nations!
4. Opportunity to Open Doors in Nations.
In Missions, we say that ‘there are no closed doors, only closed minds.’
Millions are lost because the Church has closed its mind to the Great Commission.
Yet, Intercession gives you authority over the nations:
‘Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. ‘(Psalms 2:8)
Many nations, through their political and religious ideologies have restrained their citizens from freedom of hearing the Gospel, like China and Iran. (Please see the prayer request below.)
Therefore, the Apostle Paul requested prayer for the opening of doors to opportunities and for standing against those who resist the Gospel.
“Because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.” (1 Corinthians 16:8-9 )
He further encouraged Intercession:
“Pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.”Colossians 4:2-3 NIV
In summary, we pray that you make 2026 a ‘Year of Opportunity’ through Intercession, for opening doors and seeing new and great things happen in the Mission of God in the world.
PRAY FOR NATIONS IN CRISIS:

1. Pray for Iran.
Millions of people under repressive rule are seeking freedom through protests.
According to reports, protesters have taken to the streets in cities across Iran since late December amid anger over the soaring cost of living and the devaluation of the local currency. At least 21 people, including security forces, have been killed since the demonstrations began.
There are thousands of Iranian Muslims who have come to the Lord in recent years, but face severe persecution from authorities.
Please pray that God will intervene during this crisis and that there will be peaceful solution without further loss of life.
2. Pray for Venezuela.
This nation has plunged in to crisis and uncertainty after its President was taken to the USA to face trial. While many are protesting many others living outside the nation are celebrating.
There is a strong Christian presence in this nation, including the Assemblies of God and other Pentecost Churches. Venezuela citizens have faced many difficulties due to Marxist ideologies and influence and due to severe economic hardships. Around 7.9 million Venezuelans have fled the country!
According to Missions Network News report:
“Even though it has been a dark chapter in Venezuela’s history because many people are suffering, there is a huge spiritual hunger. People are seeking peace. They want Jesus. Churches are growing. Churches are helping the poor as they’re able to. Churches are growing as Venezuelans look to the only unshakable refuge they have, and that’s God Himself.”
Please continue for Venezuela and for many Churches, leaders and missionaries serving there.
3. Pray for China.
Recent reports show renewed persecution against the Churches in China. The Communist Party has long pressured Christians to join only state-sanctioned churches led by government-approved pastors. But Christian groups say the grip has tightened noticeably, with arrests becoming more common and prompt.
