PRAYING FOR BREAKTHROUGHS!
In prayer, we engage in activity in the unseen realm.
This is why Jesus said, “When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen” (Mat 6:6). Therefore, we should not be moved or influenced by the visible world and should focus on the unseen.
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Cor 4:18.
We also must focus on greater realities of the Holy Spirit’s activity in the world today.
Just as in the creation, the Spirit of God hovering over the darkness and waters of the earth. We also focus on Jesus, in whom “all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.. (Col 1:16).
Switching from the seen to the unseen is what creates Faith and Hope in our Intercession!
For, faith is. “being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)
But, “hope that is seen is no hope at all” (Romans 8:24).
Praying for a breakthrough in the Muslim world.

The coming of Jesus was prophesied by Isaiah as the One penetrating the darkness:
“The people who are now living in darkness have seen a great light. They are now living in a very dark land. But a light has shined on them.” (Isaiah 9:1,2)
Light is the most powerful influence over darkness!
The first recorded words of God were: “Let there be light” – and there was light. (Genesis 1:3)
It is said of Jesus, ‘In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. ‘ (John 1:4-5)
When praying for those in darkness, we should never underestimate the power of Light!
Because it is amazing what light can do to darkness! As we pray for the Muslim world, God is able to shine the light in the most darkest place on earth.
Here are some amazing facts about light!
- Life is impossible on Earth without sunlight.
- Light travels at approximately 186,000 miles per second, or 300,000 kilometers per second, making it one of the fastest things in the universe.
- There is both Visible and Non-Visible Light:
- Our eyes can only detect a small portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, known as visible light.
- However, there are many other forms of light, like infrared and ultraviolet, that are not visible to the human eye.
When Jesus said, “I am the Light of the World,’ He also represents the light ‘unseen’ to human eyes. This is why we believe He is active and moving among the Muslim World even as we pray.
For Jesus said: “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” ‘ John 20:29
PRAY FOR SAUDI ARABIA – THE CENTER OF ISLAM!

a. Saudi Arabia is the birthplace and stronghold of Islam.
From Mecca, Islam holds influence over billions, and touches many cultures worldwide. Billions of oil dollars go towards promotion of Islam around the world every year.
A spiritual breakthrough for Jesus Christ here would transform Islam and all who follow it!
All Muslims must pray toward Mecca 5 times daily, and over 2 million Muslims make the pilgrimage (Hajj) to Mecca every year. Pray that many who seek God might encounter the living Christ.
b. Pray for Freedom.
Saudi Arabia’s record on religious freedom and human rights is probably the world’s worst. People of faiths other than Islam can live in Saudi Arabia, but they cannot practise their religion openly or even gather privately.
Authorities watch Christian expatriates all the time, and those caught meeting even in homes can face beatings, prison, expulsion, or even execution.
Pray for strength, wisdom, and courage for the community of foreign believers.
Pray also for a witness to Christ among all foreign workers, that many might come to Jesus while in this land.
c. Pray for Saudi Believers:
Saudis who come to faith in Christ face the death penalty if discovered; executions are definitely known to occur. Despite this, increasing numbers are secretly seeking and finding Jesus, and there are believers in every Saudi city.
Pray for believers to persevere and even to multiply. Pray for a miracle – the legalization of Christianity for Saudis;
Pray that Saudi believers may be able to meet together in safety and have access to God’s Word.
Also pray that believers might find believing spouses.
d. Pray for Evangelism.
About 90% of homes have satellite television, indicating the hunger for what the outside world offers. In this environment, Christian television such as SAT-7, The Bible Channel, al-Hayat, the Miracle Channel, and numerous other Christian Arabic- and English-language channels can be used tremendously to bring Saudis to Jesus.

e. Pray for the Christian Expatriates:
Christian expatriates live under strict surveillance; even meeting in homes as a group of believers is forbidden. Those caught can be subjected to humiliating beatings, imprisonment, expulsion and even execution. This is particularly so for Asian Christians who are often the most effective witnesses and whose governments have the least international influence.
Life is difficult for expatriates. The benefits of money made from working here are offset by stifling social restrictions, often cruel working environments, endemic racism and a total lack of personal and religious freedom. Many of these foreigners have little access to the gospel, although there are sizeable numbers of Christians among them. Pray for a witness to flourish among all foreign workers – and that many might come to Jesus while in the land of Mohammed.
Pray for encouragement, strength, wisdom and courage for the believing community. There are few opportunities to meaningfully interact with Saudis, and very few expatriates speak Arabic. Pray that other Arabs might gain a burden to reach Saudis.
