The 6th day of Creation and the 27th day of the 2nd month of Noah’s 601st year were two significant days for the planet Earth!
Each time, there stood one family before the vast expanse of uninhabited, unoccupied, empty planet! To Adam & Eve at creation and to Noah’s family who disembarked from the Ark after the flood, both were given the same mandate and blessing:
“Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.” (Genesis 9:1)
However, after the ‘Flood’ came the ‘Confusion’ from Babel!
Yet we see through it that God’s love and purposes for mankind goes beyond individuals – they are for Nations!
1. God Loves Nations! From 71 to 17,000!
God’s amazing purpose in populating the earth is recorded in the Table of Nations with over 71 nations!
‘These were the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; and from these, the nations were divided on the earth after the flood.’
Genesis 10:32
These continued to multiply, and today, we have over 17,000 nations!
